Job summary

City of New York seeks a Community Associate to support the Staten Island District Attorney’s Office in delivering essential services and handling facilities duties. This role supports the Administration Bureau with daily tasks, from deliveries to maintenance coordination, ensuring court and office operations run smoothly.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent with three years of related community work, plus a NYS driver’s license, strong writing and communication skills,

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 3 years of community work or related activities.
  • Equivalent education/experience to the above.
  • Demonstrated writing and communication abilities preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver time-sensitive documents across NYC using agency vehicle or public transit.
  • Respond to help desk requests related to facilities maintenance.
  • Participate in facilities maintenance projects (painting, signage, furniture).
  • Assist with security by producing IDs and monitoring cameras.
  • Handle inter-office deliveries of court documents and supplies.
  • Liaise with agencies (e.g., DCAS Engineers) and represent RCDA to resolve building issues.
  • Maintain Fleet database and management system.
  • Gather reports for the Director of Facilities on Fleet maintenance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Chief of Administration or Facilities Supervisor.
