Job summary

JLL is hiring a Building Helper in Philadelphia, PA to support the engineering and maintenance team in daily facility operations. You will assist with flooring, lighting, and preventive maintenance, while helping keep occupants safe and the building well‑maintained.

The role emphasizes physical work, adherence to safety practices, and the ability to follow instructions either independently or as part of a team, with opportunities to support special projects as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a commercial building environment.
• Experience supporting general building maintenance and facility operations.
• Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, climbing, and working outdoors.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety practices and procedures.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or within a team environment.
• Flexibility to manage changing priorities and maintenance demands.

Responsibilities

• Assist Engineers and Mechanics with daily maintenance tasks and facility operations.
• Perform general building maintenance, including flooring repairs and upkeep.
• Install, replace, and troubleshoot lighting systems and fixtures.
• Support snow removal and ice management efforts to maintain safe exterior conditions.
• Complete assigned preventive maintenance and repair activities throughout the facility.
• Respond to urgent maintenance requests and operational needs as required.
• Support special projects and additional duties assigned by Management.
