You will support engineers with maintenance, lighting, flooring, snow removal, and general facility tasks while upholding safety standards and working both independently and with a team.

This role requires a high school diploma and at least five years in a similar setting; it offers a day shift and is based in Philadelphia.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a commercial building environment.
• Experience supporting general building maintenance and facility operations.
• Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, climbing, and working outdoors.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety practices and procedures.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or within a team environment.
• Flexibility to manage changing priorities and maintenance demands.

Responsibilities

• Assist Engineers and Mechanics with daily maintenance tasks and facility operations.
• Perform general building maintenance, including flooring repairs and upkeep.
• Install, replace, and troubleshoot lighting systems and fixtures.
• Support snow removal and ice management efforts to maintain safe exterior conditions.
• Complete assigned preventive maintenance and repair activities throughout the facility.
• Respond to urgent maintenance requests and operational needs as required.
• Support special projects and additional duties assigned by Management.

Building Helper - JLL

What this job involves

We are seeking a dependable Building Helper to support the engineering and maintenance team in the daily operation of a commercial facility. This role is responsible for assisting Engineers and Mechanics with a variety of building maintenance activities, including flooring repairs, lighting maintenance, snow removal, and general facility support. The Building Helper plays an important role in maintaining a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment for building occupants while supporting overall operational efficiency.

What your day-to-day will look like

• Ability to support emergency or after-hours maintenance activities when needed.
