Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking a Facilities Engineering Supervisor to oversee operations at Swedish Issaquah and Redmond facilities. The role ensures safe, reliable operation of plant systems, plans work and oversees staff and vendors, and guides the design and operation of building utilities to support patient-focused care.

Qualifications

• Must have completed formal training in building maintenance and plant operations.
• National Boiler Operator Grade I/II/III license upon hire.
• 10+ years of building maintenance and plant operations experience.
• Extensive experience with building envelopes, finishes and equipment.
• Experience with utility and life safety systems (fans, chillers, generators, electrical, plumbing, fire systems).
• Experience with computer-based preventive maintenance programs.
• Experience with hospital utility systems.
• Experience with computer-based maintenance software systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for the Facilities Engineering team to ensure teamwork and customer satisfaction.
• Plan work, schedule staff and vendors, and supervise work order execution.
• Coordinate system disruptions and track work status.
• Monitor and verify the function of building environmental and life safety systems.
• Advise on design, construction, and operation of physical plant systems and ensure safe operation.
• Assist in managing the Facilities Engineering budget and annual budgets.
• Implement the Utility Management Plan and manage staff to maintain safe operation of all utilities.
