Qualifications

• Formal, specialized training courses in building maintenance and plant operations.
• National Boiler Operator licenses (I/II/III) required upon hire.
• 10+ years of building maintenance and plant operations experience.
• Extensive experience with building envelopes, finishes, and equipment.
• Experience with utility and life safety systems (fans, chillers, towers, generators, electrical, steam, plumbing, medical gases, fire systems).
• Experience implementing and monitoring computer-based preventive maintenance programs.
• Experience with hospital utility systems.
• Experience using computer-based maintenance software.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, vision and a safe working environment for the Facilities Engineering team.
• Plan work, schedule staff and vendors; supervise work orders and system disruptions.
• Monitor and verify operation of environmental and life safety systems.
• Assist in budget development, annual labor, operating and capital budgets.
• Advise on design, construction and operation of plant systems.
