Job summary

Providence Swedish in Issaquah, WA is seeking a Facilities Engineering Supervisor to lead building operations across Swedish Issaquah and Redmond. You will supervise staff and vendors, plan work, monitor life-safety and utility systems, and ensure safe, reliable plant operation in line with hospital standards.

The role requires extensive maintenance experience, boiler licenses, and a track record in preventive maintenance programs.

Qualifications

• Broad range of formal, specialized training courses in building maintenance and plant operations.
• Licenses: National Boiler Operator Grade I/II/III or equivalent license authority.
• 10+ years building maintenance and plant operations experience.
• Extensive experience in maintaining building envelopes, finishes and equipment.
• Experience with utility and life safety systems (fans, chillers, generators, electrical, plumbing, fire protection).
• Experience developing and monitoring computer-based preventive maintenance programs.
• Experience with hospital utility systems.
• Experience with computer-based maintenance software systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, vision and a safe, team-based working environment for Facilities Engineering.
• Plan work, schedule staff and vendors, supervise work order execution and coordinate system disruptions.
• Monitor and verify building environmental and life-safety systems; ensure reliable operation of utilities.
• Assist in managing the Facilities Engineering budget and annual labor, operating and capital budgets.
• Develop and implement Utility Management Plan; manage staff and vendors accordingly.
• Provide recommendations on design, construction and operation of plant systems.
