Job summary

Genentech in South San Francisco seeks a Facilities & Engineering Production Planner/Master Scheduler to plan, schedule and monitor production through the complete cycle, coordinating with engineering, production, and vendors to meet customer commitments.

You will oversee a team of moving contractors, manage equipment moves across Dixon, Santa Clara and Pleasanton sites, and ensure GMP, EHS compliance while optimizing resources and scheduling accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with a 2-year technical degree or 5+ years hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or R&D.
• Demonstrated expertise in moving procedures, job hazard analysis, heavy equipment moving and hazard handling.
• Ability to supervise external contractors and provide site orientation and task management.
• Strong safety protocol enforcement and data management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all work order requests for equipment/item moves on the SSF campus and ensure customer commitments are met.
• Oversee daily of a team of full-time moving contractors and moving trucks.
• Plan and coordinate move requests for equipment and instruments across SSF sites to maintain service levels.
• Support F&E department in planning, scheduling, reporting metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a 4–6 week Planned Work horizon to ensure on-time completion.
