Job summary

Genentech is seeking a Facilities & Engineering Production Planner/Master Scheduler to manage and coordinate final production cycles, ensuring material availability and on-time completion. You will lead a team of moving contractors, plan moves across SSF and nearby sites, and maintain strong stakeholder relations.

Responsibilities include overseeing GMP/EHS compliance, optimizing schedules, and collaborating with customers and internal teams to meet service goals.

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma or GED plus 2-year technical degree or 5+ years hands-on experience.
• Experience with industrial moving, rigging and handling sensitive materials.
• Ability to supervise external contractors and service teams.
• Strong safety protocol knowledge.
• Excellent communication and customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage work order requests for equipment/item moves on the SSF campus.
• Oversee a team of moving contractors and moving trucks.
• Plan and coordinate move requests for equipment and items across SSF, Dixon, Santa Clara and Pleasanton.
• Support GMP, EHS compliance in operations.
• Act as liaison with customers, vendors, and internal partners.
• Maintain 4–6 week planned work horizon for on-time completion.
• Inspect work locations and coordinate successful execution with customers.
• Coordinate moves with MRO, LES, CoolOps and MOLS teams.
• Monitor labor hours and adjust staffing for efficiency.
• Maintain relationships and CMMS data accuracy.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and efficiency gains.
• Maintain schedule stability and complete assigned tasks.
