The position provides oversight of all NYCT Subway’s facility construction efforts not managed by MTA C&D for all owned and leased properties. Responsible for the management and oversight of several multi‑million‑dollar capital construction projects rehabilitating facilities utilizing both in‑house represented labor and outsourced contracted labor. This position will be involved in all project lifecycle phases including planning, scheduling, analysis, design, technical specifications, and reporting. It requires expertise in the design and construction of architectural, mechanical, electrical, structural, and furniture, as well as expertise in reviewing design drawing assuring conformity to NYS Building Code and facility specifications. Responds to emergencies/critical occurrences on a 24/7 basis.
A bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field and eight (8) years of full‑time related experience and two (2) years of managerial/supervisory/administrative experience.
A satisfactory combination of education and experience.
Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, interview, and written assessment.
