Job summary

American Honda Motor Company, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical and Project Engineer to implement and communicate an operational plan, monitor progress, and resolve issues on complex facility projects.

You will coordinate resources, budgets, and schedules for HVAC, boilers, pumps, and controls, with travel to Ohio facilities as needed. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 0–6 years of relevant experience, and hands-on knowledge of industrial mechanical systems, PM, PdM, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 0–6 years engineering experience in manufacturing, industrial facilities, utilities, or related environments.
• Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical systems, including design, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
• Experience with PM, PdM, MTTR/MTBF, and end-of-life assessments.
• Knowledge of project management: planning, budgeting, scheduling, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for facility mechanical systems.
• Support operation and reliability of facility mechanical systems (fans, burners, pumps, chillers, etc).
• Maintain and update mechanical/electrical drawings across the project lifecycle.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules; manage approvals (E‑Flow).
• Manage contractor bidding, evaluation, and selection for engineering projects.
• Train Facilities associates on mechanical/electrical enhancements and best practices.
• Create technical references, SOPs, and documentation; support operations.
