Job summary

Honda Development & Manufacturing of America in Marysville, OH is seeking a Facilities Mechanical & Project Engineer to lead improvements and reliability for facility systems and to manage capital projects from concept to commissioning.

You will supervise on-site contractors, ensure OSHA compliance, and maintain engineering drawings with AutoCAD as part of a dynamic facilities team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 0-6 years of facilities engineering or industrial utilities experience.
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, compressed air, hydronic systems, and MTTR/MTBF.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Proven project management and contractor coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, improvement, and reliability strategies for plant mechanical and utility systems.
• Oversee operation of centrifugal chillers, air compressors, industrial boilers, pumps, and cooling towers.
• Develop project scopes, oversee contractor bidding, and manage capital construction budgets.
• Supervise on-site contractors, ensuring OSHA, building codes, and engineering specifications compliance.
• Review, update, and maintain facility mechanical and electrical drawings using AutoCAD.

You will lead continuous improvement and reliability for facility mechanical systems (HVAC, chillers, boilers, air compressors) and manage capital engineering projects from concept to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead design, continuous improvement, and reliability strategies for plant mechanical and utility systems.
