Job summary

The Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep tribal buildings and equipment in optimal condition, performing simple repairs and assisting with project planning. You will work with multiple departments and contractors while upholding our service standards and safety policies.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, be able to communicate in English, and pass background checks and drug screening as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 1 year related experience and/or training.
• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Must pass periodic random drug screens and background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operating condition of Tribal entities’ buildings and equipment and complete simple repairs.
• Aid in planning tribal projects, remodels, expansions and monitor outside contractors.
• Follow OSHA safety guidelines with Safety Coordinator and adhere to internal controls.
