Job summary

Tortoise Rock Casino in Twentynine Palms, CA seeks a versatile Maintenance Technician to perform general upkeep of indoor and outdoor spaces across tribal properties. You’ll work with Engineering and other departments, handling repairs, basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting tasks while adhering to safety standards and company service promises.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to guests and employees by exceeding our mission.
• Maintain operating condition of buildings and equipment and complete simple repairs.
• Apply knowledge of basic mechanical, electrical, carpentry, painting and plumbing skills.
• Assist in planning tribal projects, remodels and monitor external contractors.

Summary

This position is responsible for general maintenance of all Tribal entities’ indoor and outdoor premises. Works with all departments on an as-needed basis. Also works along with all Engineering personnel. In addition, we strive to deliver our Five Star Experience to Guests and fellow Team Members. • Provide outstanding customer service to guests and all other employees by exceeding our mission statement.

• Maintain operating condition of Tribal entities’ buildings and equipment and completes simple repairs.
• Use knowledge of fundamental mechanical, electrical, carpentry, painting and plumbing.
• Aid in planning of tribal entities’ projects, remodeling, expansions and monitors jobs completed by outside contractors.
• Ground maintenance.
• Requires technical knowledge of the construction and maintenance work involved, and the ability to use cost-estimating methods.
• Must be able to follow safety guidelines and work closely with Safety Coordinator to make sure all OSHA safety guidelines are adhered to.
• Ensure compliance with all Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) as well as all Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS).
• Present a positive image of the Tribal organization to its guests and vendors and to assist them as required.
• Must follow all safety policies and procedures and attend all scheduled safety meetings and training as a condition of employment.
• Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

This job does not require supervisory duties.

Qualifications

Education And Experience (Must Be Documented)

• High school diploma or equivalent or 1 year related experience and / or training.
• Must be able to communicate in English.

Certification, Licenses And Any Additional Requirements

• Must pass periodic random drug screens.
• Must be able to pass background suitability investigation.
• Must obtain a Tribal Gaming License.
• Must obtain all other applicable certifications and licenses.
• Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States within 72 hours of employment.
