Job summary

Hines is seeking a Facilities Engineer to help operate and maintain tenant and building systems, including heat pumps and cooling units for server rooms. You will support the Facilities Manager in daily engineering operations and small projects, ensuring high-quality service to tenants.

The role requires hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordination with contractors, with a focus on safety and efficiency in a dynamic office environment.

Qualifications

• HVAC compressor replacement and troubleshooting experience.
• Familiarity with heat pumps and their maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and blueprints.
• Proficient with standard safety practices and PPE usage.
• Experience with building systems maintenance and project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment for tenant buildings.
• Troubleshoot operations issues and restore tenant services with minimal supervision.
• Supervise maintenance work as needed.
• Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Assist Facilities Manager with oversight of engineering operations.
• Coordinate tenant requests and small facility projects.
• Ensure inspections and PMs are completed properly.
