Job summary

Life Time Inc. in Garden City, KS is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Engineer to inspect, maintain, and repair building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, boilers, and pool systems.

You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and keep detailed CMMS records to ensure safe, compliant operations. The role requires 3–4 years in facilities maintenance, state boiler/operator licensing as applicable, EPA CFC/HVAC certs, and a willingness to work in a busy recreational

Qualifications

• HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical experience is required.
• Technical or trade school certification in HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems.
• 3–4 years in facilities maintenance/building maintenance/engineering.
• Boiler/Stationary Engineer license (state-specific) and EPA CFC/HVAC certs.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatic Facilities Operator (AFO) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, boiler, and pool systems.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure safe and efficient operation of building systems.
• Monitor water chemistry, filtration, and pool temperature controls.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations including fire and life safety systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Maintain detailed records in CMMS for work orders and inspections.
• Support facility appearance and guest experience.
