Job summary

The Gwen in Chicago, IL is seeking a skilled Engineer to maintain all building systems and the building envelope, ensuring guest safety and energy efficiency. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspect HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related equipment, and assist with repairs across hotel facilities.

Ideal candidates have vocational training in building trades and hotel experience is a plus. The role includes working on-site with opportunities to contribute to energy-saving initiatives and

Qualifications

• Vocational schooling, military training, certification and/or experience in building related trades required in 1 or more of the following areas: HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Carpentry.
• Hotel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all building related systems and the building envelope to ensure guest safety.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete work orders for routine repairs.
• Inspect electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and related equipment and repair as needed.
• Service the pool and other hotel facilities; comply with health and safety codes.
• Maintain exterior curb appeal and refurbish furniture/fixtures in guest rooms.
