Reports To: Director of Engineering / Chief Engineer

Position Summary

The Engineer is responsible for maintaining the hotel’s physical facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house systems. This role ensures all equipment operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with brand standards, local codes, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

General Maintenance

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, meeting spaces, and public areas
• Respond promptly to guest and internal maintenance requests
• Complete preventive maintenance (PM) tasks as assigned

Building Systems

• Monitor and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment such as PTAC units, boilers, chillers, and kitchen equipment
• Ensure proper operation of fire/life safety systems

Preventive Maintenance

• Follow scheduled PM program for rooms and equipment
• Maintain accurate logs and records of completed work
• Identify potential issues and proactively resolve them

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, local codes, and brand safety standards
• Maintain a safe work environment
• Participate in emergency response (fire alarm, power outage, etc.)

Guest Service

• Interact professionally with guests when addressing maintenance concerns
• Ensure minimal disruption while performing repairs in occupied areas
