Job summary

The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas is seeking a Facilities Engineer to provide hands-on technical leadership for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement of a large, aging facility with complex electrical, mechanical, and building automation systems.

You will collaborate with Facilities Operations, technicians, contractors, and project teams to ensure reliability, compliance, and safe operations while supporting end-of-life equipment replacements and commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years hands-on experience operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, or supporting electrical and mechanical systems in large facilities.
• Strong knowledge of commercial/industrial electrical distribution (480 VAC) with field troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) including controls, networks, sequences, alarms, and trending (Automated Logic and/or Niagara a plus).
• Experience supporting large HVAC/mechanical systems, data centers, or aging facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical leadership and troubleshooting for facility electrical systems (480 VAC distribution, switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS, ATS).
• Support and troubleshoot BAS, including controls, networking, programming, sequences, alarms, and trending.
• Support mechanical/facility infrastructure (HVAC, central plant equipment, pumps, air handling, plumbing) with emphasis on reliability and root-cause troubleshooting.
• Lead and support infrastructure projects (equipment replacement, construction coordination, shutdown planning, commissioning, turnover).
• Support day-to-day operations, preventive maintenance, audits, documentation, and data center operations.
