Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to manage building systems, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and respond to emergencies across facilities in the Phoenix area. The role requires knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems, the ability to read blueprints, and strong organizational skills.

A GED or high school diploma and 3–4 years of related experience are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 3-4 years of related experience and/or trade school training.
• General knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing.
• License/permit for trade may be required (e.g., Journeyman/Master Electrician).

Responsibilities

• Ensure the electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing and other system aspects of a building are performed effectively.
• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and grounds.
• Inspect building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation is within design specs.
• Respond quickly to emergency situations and maintain records of maintenance work.
• Maintain inventory and requisition parts as needed.
• Learn and comply with safety practices and use of tools.
