Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventive maintenance on commercial facilities. You will troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems while delivering high standards of customer service and safety.

The role requires at least 2 years of experience in building maintenance and a solid understanding of building systems. Pay ranges from $21.00 to $22.00 per hour, with standard ABM benefits and 401(k) eligibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 2 years in building maintenance or related field.
• General knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on building equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and mechanical issues.
• Complete work orders and maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
• Repair doors, locks, walls, ceilings, flooring, fixtures, and other building components.
• Replace filters, belts, bulbs, and other consumables as needed.
• Respond to emergency maintenance situations and service calls.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and completed repairs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and OSHA regulations.
• Assist with facility improvement projects and equipment installations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Communicate effectively with building occupants, vendors, and management.
