Job summary

Central States Health & Life Co. of Omaha is seeking a full-time Building Maintenance Technician to uphold the safety, operation, and comfort of the company’s facilities.

You will maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and control systems, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate with vendors for repairs and upgrades. The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and hands-on experience with building systems; a Third Grade Engineer license is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Demonstrated experience with plumbing, HVAC, building mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize facilities requests.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, operate, troubleshoot, repair, and update building operating systems and equipment.
• Perform building checks for HVAC problems and climate control.
• Coordinate with outside vendors for snow removal, sprinkler repair, and new equipment installations.
• Ensure proper lighting and energy-efficient upgrades where possible.
• Prepare and maintain maintenance logs and records.
