Job summary

City Colleges of Chicago seeks an Engineer at Wilbur Wright College to provide professional engineering services for maintenance of the building and grounds. The role covers safe operation and repairs of HVAC systems, pumps, and associated equipment, aligned with CCC standards and a Stationary Engineers License.

Position is in-person at Wright College Main Campus, with a 2:30 pm–10:30 pm schedule under the Engineers Local 399 agreement; Chicago residency required within six months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and a Stationary Engineers License.
• Familiarity with operation and repair of HVAC, steam plants, pumps, and related equipment.
• Experience with rooftop HVAC units.
• Knowledge of other trades.
• Johnson Controls BAS system experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment and buildings.
• Operate and repair heating/ventilation equipment, steam plants, pumps, and related systems.
• Adhere to operation standards and CCC policies.
• Maintain building equipment to keep it in good condition.
• Support CCC customer service excellence standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
