We are looking to grow our team and fill the position of Facility Engineer. As Facility Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the maintenance team and overseeing all aspects of repair maintenance, preventive maintenance, and machinery reliability to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing process. The successful candidate will contribute to overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) by implementing best practices in maintenance and reliability, reducing downtime, and optimizing equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities include the following:
  1. Maintenance Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans, schedules, and reporting using a CMMS to ensure optimal performance of manufacturing equipment.
    • Coordinate and execute reactive and preventive maintenance activities.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize maintenance tasks and minimize downtime.
    • Manage equipment and infrastructure maintenance work.
    • Oversee contractors handling maintenance tasks.
  2. Continuous Improvement
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement in maintenance procedures and implement best practices.
    • Work with engineering and production teams to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
    • Drive initiatives to increase OEE and reduce unplanned downtime.
  3. Data Analysis and Reporting
    • Use data analytics tools, including CMMS, to assess equipment performance and identify areas for improvement.
    • Generate reports on reliability, maintenance KPIs, and improvement recommendations.
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment history.
  4. Environmental, Health, Safety & Compliance
    • Support facility and cooperate with EH&S to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
    • Promote safety initiatives and accident prevention activities.
    • Prepare or provide data for reports and compliance records.
  5. Training and Development
    • Provide training on new equipment, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols.
    • Develop programs to enhance team skills and stay informed about industry trends.
Qualified candidates should have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in maintenance and reliability engineering within manufacturing, including knowledge of boilers, steam systems, air compressors, HVAC, and related systems.
  • Strong knowledge of preventative and reliability-centered maintenance principles.
  • Excellent mechanical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards.
