Job summary

The Kroger Company in Nashville is seeking a Regional Project Manager to lead the division's energy efficiency program for retail stores and facilities. You will manage capital and expense projects, develop budgets, coordinate with maintenance teams, and report to the Facility Engineering Department Manager.

Regular travel to division locations is required to engage contractors and store associates, evaluate project results, and ensure energy reduction goals are achieved in alignment with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, energy or related field required.
• 3+ years proven engineering experience in facilities/energy programs.
• Experience creating and managing project budgets.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Regional Project Manager role experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage capital and expense projects for building and equipment retrofits.
• Develop capital and expense budgets and allocations for building and equipment retrofits.
• Assist in developing annual budgets for utilities.
• Assist with integrating energy reduction best practices into maintenance technicians' daily activities.
• Provide Facility Engineering Department Manager with status updates on budget and project reports.
• Support Facility Engineering cost control initiatives by partnering with store operations to review variances in budgets, and to provide training to store managers at district meetings.
• Support division teams in the event of a utility outage and through restoration; communicate to appropriate leadership.
• Provide pertinent information to the corporate energy department to secure utility incentives.
• Partner with corporate Facility Engineering to select test stores and support execution for proof of concept to determine project viability for energy efficiencies.
• Travel to division locations regularly to engage contractors/subcontractors and store associates to evaluate the effectiveness of projects.
