Job summary

The Kroger Company is seeking a Regional Project Manager to lead the division’s energy efficiency program across multiple stores and facilities. You will manage capital and expense projects, develop budgets, and partner with store operations to drive energy savings.

You will collaborate with corporate energy and Facility Engineering to test and validate new efficiency concepts, while traveling regularly to division locations to monitor progress and engage contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, energy or related field.
• Strong financial skills; capable of creating budgets for projects and department.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• 3+ years proven engineering experience (Level 7) or 7+ years (Level 8).

Responsibilities

• Manage capital and expense projects for building and equipment retrofits.
• Develop budgets and allocations for building and equipment retrofits.
• Assist in developing annual utility budgets.
• Integrate energy reduction practices into daily maintenance activities.
• Provide budget and project status updates to the Facility Engineering Manager.
• Support cost control by partnering with store operations and training district managers.
• Support during utility outages and restoration, communicating with leadership.
• Provide information to secure utility incentives from the energy department.
• Partner with Corporate Engineering to select test stores and validate energy-efficiency concepts.
• Travel to division locations to engage contractors and store associates, evaluating project effectiveness.
• Must be able to perform essential functions with or without accommodation.
