Job summary

ABM Industries Inc. is seeking a District Manager to lead custodial and facilities management activities within a defined budget, ensuring service contract compliance and customer satisfaction. You will educate supervisors on payroll procedures and enforce company policies while coordinating safety programs and supply management.

The role requires strong people management, accountability for labor costs, and ongoing efforts to secure sales and operational excellence across districts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Facilities Services Management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure company standards are met in compliance with the operations and servicing contractual obligations to customers within specified budget of labor and expense.
• Review daily labor for the District and educate supervisors on payroll procedures.
• Adhere to and enforce established company policy and ensure subordinates do likewise.
• Contact customers to ensure services meet contract requirements and customer retention.
• Apply personnel management skills to resolve problems with employees and supervisors.
• Provide recognition and disciplinary action as needed and train subordinates as needed.
• Support Safety programs with Branch Safety Coordinators to ensure compliance with safety policies.
• Report accidents involving personnel, vehicles, and property and review workers' compensation claims relevant to the area of responsibility.
• Assist in branch supply systems and with ordering supplies; manage budgets and costs in area of responsibility; arrange supervisor coverage for vacations/holidays.
• Work toward securing sales and manage staff development and discipline as required.
• Assist Branch Manager in equipment audits and purchasing; perform other duties as assigned.
