Job summary

Solera Senior Living is seeking a Director of Facilities to lead maintenance and housekeeping across our community. The role focuses on safety, compliance, and delivering a tour-ready environment for residents, team members, and guests.

You will manage the Maintenance and Housekeeping teams, oversee preventive maintenance, coordinate vendors, and partner with leadership on capital projects. A hands-on approach and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in facilities, maintenance, housekeeping, or building operations.
• Working knowledge of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC) and general construction.
• Ability to troubleshoot, prioritize, and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to safely operate tools and equipment used in facility operations.
• On-call availability for emergencies, including evenings and weekends.
• Compassionate, service-oriented approach when working with older adults and families.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate maintenance and housekeeping team members.
• Provide coaching, performance feedback, and disciplinary recommendations as needed.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and tour-ready environment across the community.
• Oversee daily maintenance and housekeeping operations to ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Coordinate work orders, prioritize repairs, and ensure timely completion.
• Maintain grounds, resident spaces, and equipment to high standards.
• Manage preventive maintenance schedules for systems and equipment.
