Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking an experienced Maintenance Director for Nashua Crossings, an assisted living facility. You will oversee maintenance and housekeeping with a hands-on focus on electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and facilities operations, while coordinating staff and managing budgets.

The role emphasizes interaction with residents and staff, supervising payroll, expenses, and capital projects to ensure safety and regulatory compliance in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Understanding of life safety regulations.
• Ability to run a maintenance and housekeeping department.
• Experience in facilities management.
• Good communication skills.
• Previous supervisory experience required.
• Knowledge of biohazardous waste handling.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate repairs and alterations to buildings and equipment.
• Provide technical guidance and QA support.
• Establish and monitor a preventive maintenance program.
• Maintain OSHA and fire code compliance.
• Perform other maintenance tasks as needed.
• Lead maintenance and housekeeping teams.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical/electrical/plumbing, with HVAC emphasis.
