Job summary

Brigham House is seeking a Maintenance Director to plan, organize, and supervise the physical plant, maintenance staff, housekeeping staff, and security. This role ensures compliance with policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements while coordinating with the Administrator and executives.

The director will lead preventive maintenance, manage service requests, and supervise a diverse team to maintain high-quality living environments for residents.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
• Able to read and write in English with clear communications.
• Able to operate general office equipment and perform basic calculations.
• Must provide a medical certification for communicable diseases at hire and annually.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check for unlicensed employees.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and related systems.
• Establish and maintain preventive maintenance schedules and supplies.
• Manage scheduling for Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Security staff.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes.
• Supervise on-site staff and outside contractors as needed.
• Respond to resident requests and maintain service quality.
