Job summary

SSC Services for Education is seeking a BENCH FACILITIES DIRECTOR to oversee the operation of all service lines at the facility, including POM, Environmental Services, and Grounds Maintenance. This leadership role directs policy, budget, and strategic development while partnering with the client to ensure safety and quality across all departments.

The Facilities Director will lead a multidisciplinary team, manage budgets, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive improvements to meet performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree highly preferred.
• 5 years POM management experience preferred.
• Construction project management experience.
• Experience with central plant operations preferred.
• Utility background preferred.
• Experience with large annual budgets.
• Have managed a large workforce.
• Must have the ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
• Extraordinary customer service and quality attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet established goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage department operating budget within approved limits.
• Coordinate POM activities with other departments.
• Oversee heavy construction project management.
• Communicate with administration and city on growth plans and permits.
• Plan, direct, and supervise department functions.
• Establish and implement policies and procedures for departmental operations.
• Mentor staff and foster innovation.
• Ensure regulatory compliance across all activities.
• Lead training and development of staff.
• Inspect facilities to uphold quality control procedures.
• Assist in developing/revising annual budgets.
• Maintain direct contact with administration, client, and vendors as needed.
• Ensure facilities' strategic objectives are defined and achieved.
• Guard company assets and maintain them in first-class condition.
