Job summary

McKinley Children's Center in San Dimas, CA seeks a Facilities Director to oversee routine maintenance across agency facilities, assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure safety compliance. You will manage daily operations of the maintenance department and coordinate with outside vendors.

This role requires at least four years of maintenance experience, strong communication and leadership, ability to lift 50 pounds, and willingness to work extended shifts.

Qualifications

• Four years of work experience in general maintenance including plumbing, carpentry, and electrical repairs.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to support a team.
• Pool maintenance knowledge is a plus; related certifications are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Determine schedules and assign work activities based on priority and available personnel.
• Coordinate office moves and event setups for users and groups.
• Maintain cottage upkeep, perform inspections, and document repairs.
• Develop and evaluate maintenance policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with IT to provide integrated services and technologies when applicable.
• Inspect facilities to identify required installations or repairs; ensure quality of work.
• Manage materials, tools, and vendor negotiations; monitor costs and contracts.
• Complete tasks independently with sound judgment and discretion.
