Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking an experienced Facilities Operations Manager in Fort Myers, FL. You will plan, supervise, coordinate, and evaluate day-to-day operations across multiple buildings, grounds, and an extensive vehicle fleet. Lead a team of 4+ staff while ensuring safety and procedural compliance.

Responsibilities include construction oversight, budgeting, and coordinating with the Business Manager on bid approvals, with a focus on maintaining Salvation Army assets and services.

Qualifications

• Two-year college or technical school degree in Business Management or related field.
• Five years progressive experience supervising thrift store operations.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
• Valid State Driver’s License.

Schedule/Hours: Full Time Temporary ExemptPosition will become permanent upon retirement of IncumbentThis position is responsible for:Plans, supervises, coordinates, directs, monitors and evaluates the day-to-day operations with multiple large facilities/grounds/locations spread over multiple counties including multiple quarters, Salvation Army buildings, vehicle fleet, grounds, and equipment; includes supervision of 4 or more employees in Facilities Operations. Coordinates, directs, implements and evaluates the full range of Facilities Operations, Maintenance, Security, Auto fleet Ensures all equipment remains in proper working order and compliance with standard operating procedures and safety standards; maintains an inventory of all Salvation Army property and administers a departmental budget.Key Responsibilities:Provides the necessary management skills in order to effectively plan for work loads and deadlines: Supervises, coordinates, assigns, monitors, audits, and evaluates the work of all departmental staff.Oversees new construction of TSA properties.
