This is a full-time management role responsible for overseeing the daily facilities operations of the property, including the shopping center and related business units. The role supports URW's vision of serving communities, enabling customer connections, and transforming shopping, living, working, and leisure experiences—delivering a top-tier customer experience by enhancing the shopping environment and customer journey.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage daily facilities operations, including budgeting, expense control, preventative maintenance, and managing building systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire/life safety, electrical).
  • Lead, supervise, train, and evaluate maintenance staff.
  • Develop and oversee preventative maintenance programs to extend equipment lifespan and efficiency.
  • Utilize facilities management platforms (CMMS, BMS, EMS) to optimize operations and ensure data integrity.
  • Participate in meetings related to shopping center operations, tenant design, and construction.
  • Manage on-site equipment and asset inventory.
  • Oversee project management, financials, vendor relations, sustainability, safety compliance, and central plant operations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5+ years in facilities management, construction project management, or related fields, preferably in retail or commercial settings.
  • Professional designations (BOMA, IFM, IREM) preferred.
  • Supervisory experience for at least two years.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and regulatory standards.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and construction documents; experience with CAD, Bluebeam, and facility management software.
  • Technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire systems.
  • Strong process management, team development, and customer service skills.
  • Experience with union labor and third-party vendors.
  • Background in energy management and sustainability.
  • Budget management and legal agreement interpretation skills.
  • Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and adaptability.
  • Excellent communication and administrative skills.
  • Availability for on-site emergencies and participation in manager-on-duty rotations.
Compensation

Exempt, $106,000-$140,000 + discretionary bonus.
