Job summary

Canlan Sports is seeking a proactive janitor to maintain the sports complex and surrounding grounds. Responsibilities include cleaning, minor repairs, and assisting in ice maintenance during peak periods. Must be reliable, with a focus on safety and quality in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications include high school diploma, BC Building Service Worker Certificate, and willingness to work flexible hours including overnights (12:00am–8:00am). Prior janitorial experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• BC Building Service Worker Certificate required or asset.
• Experience as a commercial buildings janitor preferred.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and call outs.
• Available 12:00am–8:00am.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial and maintenance tasks per local building and fire codes.
• Keep entrances, grounds, and parking lots clean, safe and maintained.
• Grass cutting and edging; snow and debris removal as needed.
• Maintain checklists and reports for washrooms, showers, and parking areas.
• Vacuuming, auto scrubbing, waxing and floor care procedures.
• Assist with minor maintenance and ice maintenance during peak periods.

Job Summary

Canlan Sports is currently looking for a Janitor worker. We are currently looking for a pro active janitor that is a hands on individual who will perform janitorial and minor maintenance duties to ensure the overall upkeep of the sports complex and surrounding grounds. Their primary responsibilities include cleaning and performing small repairs. Responsibilities

• Perform general janitorial and maintenance tasks in accordance with local building and fire codes
• Ensure that entrances grounds and parking lot are kept clean clear and safe includingProperty & grounds cleanup
• Grass cutting and edging
• Seasonal snow and debris removal
• Maintain appropriate checklists records and reports with respect toChange room cleanlinessWindow cleanlinessWashroom cleaning checklistShower cleaning checklistParking lot & property cleaning checklist
• Perform vacuuming auto scrubbing waxing and buffing in line with established floor care procedures
• Assist with minor maintenance as required
• Assist in Ice Maintenance during peak periods short staffing or as required

Education and Knowledge Requirements

• Completed high school education or equivalent is an asset
• Valid drivers license an asset
• Building Service Worker Certificate BC
• Previous experience as a commercial buildings janitor preferred
• Willingness and ability to work flexible hours evenings weekends and call outs
• Approachable and team orientated with great communication skills verbal and written
• Must be available from 1200am 800am
