Job summary

CSL is seeking a full-time custodian to maintain a clean, organized collection center in Evansville, Indiana. Responsibilities include cleaning, basic maintenance, trash/recycling handling, and restocking supplies throughout the day. Strong emphasis on safety and confidentiality with potential cross-training opportunities.

The role requires light maintenance skills, ability to lift up to 40 pounds, and willingness to work overtime to support center operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum three months custodian experience preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Fast-paced environment experience preferred.
• Willing to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Cleans tables, chairs, cabinets, counters and appliances in break room and donor waiting area.
• Vacuums carpets, dusts furniture and removes trash.
• Cleans windows and doors daily.
• Performs minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and painting.
• Monitors grounds and parking areas and picks up litter.
• Assists in recycling and repackaging shipping materials.
• Inspects and cleans restrooms; replenishes paper and soap.
• Receives supplies and moves them to storage and quarantine areas.
• Follows Health, Safety & Environmental and OSHA policies; prioritizes safety.
• Maintains confidentiality of personnel and donor information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
• Bilingual skills may be required per organizational needs.
