Job summary

The Salvation Army North & Central Illinois Division is seeking a Custodian for the Peoria Citadel Corps Community Center. The role focuses on maintaining property, equipment, and cleanliness to support daily operations and program activities.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, two years of related experience preferred, and the ability to pass background and driving checks. Flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; two years of related experience preferred.
• Pass pre-employment background inquiry and annual motor vehicle check with a valid driver's license.
• Must be committed to The Salvation Army mission and able to communicate it to others.

Responsibilities

• Maintain corps property, equipment, fixtures, and grounds.
• Keep facilities clean, safe, and orderly (including garage).
• Operate equipment and power equipment safely and properly.
• Load/unload trucks as needed and communicate repair needs to corps officer.
• Complete all work orders promptly and perform daily cleaning and restocking tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
