Job summary

State of Wyoming seeks a dependable Custodian to join the facilities team at the Thyra Thomson Office Building. Responsibilities include cleaning, replenishing supplies, and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for state employees and visitors.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma and up to 2 years of related experience. This is a day shift role with opportunities for benefits including health insurance and paid leave.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 0-6 months progressive work experience in Building and Grounds, or 1-2 years substitution experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning: vacuum, mop, dust, empty trash and sanitize restrooms and offices.
• Restock supplies and maintain storage areas.
• Identify areas in need of repair and report to supervisor.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, carpet cleaners.
• Conduct security rounds and monitor building systems for proper function.
