SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Custodian to ensure cleanliness and sanitation across assigned areas. You will perform janitorial tasks, follow a daily schedule, and handle hazardous waste responsibilities requiring careful handling and safety adherence.

The role emphasizes teamwork, professional communication, and strict adherence to safety policies. No specific education is required, but training and certifications may be needed, including driver’s license and forklift certification

Qualifications

• No specific education requirement; 3–6 months training or experience preferred.
• May require a valid driver’s license.
• Safety and task training certification may be required.
• Forklift certification may be required.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment; willingness to share with team.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties.
• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule.
• Handle Hazardous Waste responsibilities including collection, classification, storage, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Stop at risk behavior of others and self.
• Work as part of a team.
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules.
• Take direction and respond to supervision.
• Communicate professionally with lead, supervisor, coworkers, managers, and customers.
• Fill in during staff shortage.
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items.
• Use proper PPE.
• Present a professional appearance and conduct.
• Understand customer service and satisfaction.
• Understand reporting systems and the environment.
