Job summary

Navy Region Hawaii Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) seeks a dedicated maintenance and cleaning worker at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, HI. The role ensures a clean, organized environment for the Ground Maintenance department by performing floor care, rest room sanitation, dusting, and related tasks.

The position requires the ability to operate heavy cleaning equipment, follow safety procedures, and move materials as needed, contributing to a safe and efficient work environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read signs and follow simple oral and written instructions.
• Ability to operate powered floor cleaning equipment and perform minor maintenance on them.
• Ability to learn Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).

Responsibilities

• Scrub, strip, wax, and polish floors using industrial cleaners and buffers.
• Vacuum rugs with heavy-duty cleaners; maintain and adjust equipment as needed.
• Move and arrange furniture and equipment; clean and replace blinds, lights, and fixtures.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, wash mirrors and water fountains, and dust surfaces.
• Maintain cleaning supplies and report replacement needs to supervisor.
