Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a diligent Janitor to maintain cleanliness and upkeep at the Long Beach Red Shield Community Center. The role involves cleaning floors, restrooms, windows, and fixtures, handling donations in the lobby, and setting up spaces for events and programs.

Must pass FBI/DOJ background check and be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Driver's license is required and two years of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have High School diploma or equivalent.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum building floors.
• Empty wastebaskets and manage donations in lobby.
• Clean and service restrooms and fixtures.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
• Move heavy furniture and set up facilities for events.
• Follow safety procedures for chemical cleaners and equipment.
• Notify supervisor of major repairs needed.
