Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California is hiring for a janitorial and maintenance role responsible for daily cleaning, general upkeep, and preparedness of facilities across multiple sites. You will manage supplies, assist with safety checks, and support seasonal drives while upholding The Salvation Army’s mission and standards.

Ideal candidates bring a year or more of maintenance or janitorial experience, strong English communication, and proficiency with basic computer tools.

Qualifications

• Must speak and write English at a high, professional level.
• 1+ year building maintenance/janitorial preferred.
• Maintain confidentiality and promote The Salvation Army’s mission.
• Computer literate in Windows; Word, Excel, Outlook preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of facilities (offices, restrooms, classrooms, chapel, kitchen, pantry).
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle fleet and parking areas.
• Perform minor facility and equipment repairs.
• Manage janitorial supplies inventory and equipment.
• Prepare rooms for program usage; transport donations and supplies as assigned.
• Assist with safety checks and seasonal drives.
• Other duties as assigned.
