The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit #23 is seeking a Custodian to join the Office of Facilities & Operations in Norristown, PA. The role emphasizes maintaining a clean, safe environment with routine cleaning, sanitization, and equipment handling.

Responsibilities include cleaning offices and restrooms, stocking supplies, and reporting maintenance needs. Shift is Mon-Fri, 7 hours/day, 10:00am–6:00pm, with wages $21.04–$24.75 per hour.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures.
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for many hours.
• Experience with cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards safety rules.

Responsabilidades

• Keeps building and property in clean and orderly condition.
• Performs routine maintenance activities.
• Performs heavy cleaning duties.
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, or vacuums floors.
• Gathers and empties trash.
• Sanitizes restrooms and supplies them.
• Dusts furniture, walls, and equipment.
• Cleans windows, mirrors, and partitions.
• Mixes cleaning solutions as instructed.
• Uses chemical cleaners and power machinery safely.
• Drives vehicles for cleaning work when required.
• Notifies managers about repairs or additions to building systems.
