Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Post-secondary training in building maintenance or related schooling.
• Two years custodial/building maintenance experience is highly desired.
• Valid driver's license or ability to obtain prior to hire date.
• Ability to work independently and follow oral/written instructions.
• Ability to interact tactfully with public and coworkers.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be able to qualify for respirator use.
• Must pass a background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Perform general custodial duties: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning rest rooms, windows, and surfaces.
• Perform grounds maintenance: landscaping, snow removal, parking lot upkeep.
• Conduct minor maintenance: change light bulbs, repair doors/locks, small plumbing tasks.
• Start up/shut down equipment as instructed by supervisor.
• Support County Safety program and safety drills as needed.
