Job summary

Burnet CISD seeks an experienced Custodian/Custodial Supervisor to lead custodial services across district facilities, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency. The role requires oversight of schedules, staffing, and budget considerations, with after-hours availability for emergencies.

The ideal candidate will have five years of custodial experience with supervisory exposure, a high school diploma or GED, and strong knowledge of cleaning practices, equipment, and safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Five years of custodial experience with supervisory exposure preferred.
• Knowledge of routines, equipment, and chemicals used in cleaning processes.
• Ability to manage budget and personnel; coordinate district functions.
• Ability to implement policy, interpret data, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise custodial services for all district facilities.
• Establish cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Oversee work assignments, substitute custodians, and perform custodial duties as needed.
• Inspect facilities and schedule cleaning and repairs as required.
• Maintain safety standards and train custodians on equipment and chemical handling.
• Prepare and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for custodial equipment.
• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate custodial staff and manage payroll records.
