Job summary

PetVet Care Centers' Memphis Veterinary Specialists & Emergency in Memphis, Tennessee, is seeking a Facilities Coordinator to manage on-site maintenance, small repairs, and coordination with external contractors. The role ensures a safe, compliant environment for patients, clients, and staff, handling work orders, inspections, and emergency responses.

The position covers essential maintenance categories, from plumbing and electrical work to painting, carpentry, and general upkeep.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
• Proficiency with common hand and power tools.
• Strong safety awareness and problem‑solving skills, including knowing when to stop and engage a licensed specialist.

Responsibilities

• Perform on‑site minor repairs and maintenance within scope of expertise.
• Manage the work order system: initiate, prioritize, track, complete, and close work orders to acceptable standards; conduct quality assurance reviews.
• Coordinate larger projects (installations, major repairs, renovations), including developing scopes of work, obtaining and negotiating costs, managing change requests, overseeing vendors, and serving as liaison between CST Facilities Team, contractors and hospital leadership.
• Conduct site inspections and walk‑throughs; document findings; perform final inspections with landlords or contractors when required.
• Resolve questions of repair responsibility between landlord and hospital.
• Coordinate with local authorities to address compliance issues.
• Ensure facilities comply with applicable OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, ADA, and local regulations.
• Prepare for emergencies and after‑hours issues; educate staff on facilities matters.
