Job summary

BioMed Realty seeks a Facilities Coordinator to provide onsite and remote support for its west coast life science portfolio, including San Francisco, San Diego, Seattle, and Boulder.

You will coordinate work orders, support building systems, manage vendors, track energy metrics, and help with compliance and documentation across multiple sites.

This role suits someone early in their facilities career with strong organizational and communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.

Qualifications

• Interest in facilities, building operations, or technical coordination work.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the technical and strategic operation of BioMed Realty’s life science facilities.
• Implement operating and maintenance programs to improve reliability, performance and energy efficiency.
• Support facilities managers with planning and executing projects of varying complexity.
• Maintain facility records, equipment logs, and technical documentation.
• Support capital improvement and repair projects with schedules, budgets, and closeout materials.
• Manage utility sub-metering, lead data analysis and create Excel-based energy models for new properties.
• Assist in preparing and tracking annual facilities budgets and forecast usage changes.
• Prepare reports and presentations related to facilities performance and activity.
