Job summary

Seminole County is seeking a facilities contracts and project coordinator to monitor and manage contractor work, schedules, and related documentation. You will oversee contracts, track work orders, and coordinate with engineers and county departments to ensure projects stay on budget and meet safety standards.

You will also help with budgeting, invoices, and compliance with local regulations, including fire protection and life-safety systems.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of standard practices, methods, tools, and materials used in the assigned trade.
• Ability to work from sketches, plans, and blueprints.
• Ability to follow and transmit oral and written instructions effectively.
• Ability to supervise subordinates in a manner conducive to full performance and high morale.
• Must follow safety procedures carefully at all times.
• Familiarity with Word, Excel, CMMS, and other office systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and document reported problems with contractors.
• Oversee contracts, work orders, and project schedules.
• Monitor contractor performance to ensure work meets standards and regulations.
• Assist in budgeting and financial tracking for contracts.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and local authorities.
• Perform other duties as assigned and assist in emergencies.
