Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Facility Construction Inspector II to be based onsite at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage scheduling, quality control, and oversee project documentation from planning through change orders.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a minimum of 3 years in construction inspection, and strong MS Office skills. Preference for 11+ years and certifications, with a commitment to HDR’s employee-owned culture and safety

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; substitution allowed with 8 years of relevant inspection experience
• Minimum 3 years of construction inspection experience
• Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
• Proven problem-solving and documentation abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to HDR employee-owned culture and safety policies
• Sponsorship (visa) for US employment is not available for this position

Responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractor activities, scheduling and quality control
• Develop and implement project management and construction management plans
• Manage procurement, change orders, pay applications, and schedule updates
• Monitor design progress against construction requirements and budgets
• Perform value engineering and constructability reviews and bid coordination
• Coordinate document management and submittals; review shop drawings and pay apps
• Ensure health and safety program compliance and site inspections
• Prepare progress reports and project schedules for stakeholders
• Support local bidding efforts and procurement of orders
• Assist in project setup and temporary facilities management
