Job summary

HDR is seeking a Facilities Construction Inspector II to support onsite construction at Los Angeles Space Force Base, El Segundo, CA. The role focuses on coordinating subcontractors, schedules, safety, and quality while ensuring conformance with contract terms and budgets.

Preferred candidates hold a technical or college degree and have experience with SCIF and vertical facility projects. A minimum of 3 years of inspection experience and strong MS Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent (8 years substitution allowed).
• Minimum of 3 years of construction inspection experience.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook).
• Proven problem-solving and documentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractors, scheduling, and quality control.
• Prepare Project Management and Construction Management Plans.
• Develop procedures for contract administration and coordination with project team.
• Conduct procurement activities including schedules, scopes, and pay apps.
• Administer and manage construction activities and budgets.
• Monitor design progress relative to construction requirements.
• Perform value engineering and constructability reviews.
• Coordinate local bidding and quotes in the field.
• Review submittals, shop drawings, and change orders.
• Update schedules, pay requests, and progress reports.
• Manage project setup and temporary facilities.
• Perform other duties as needed.
