Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee is seeking a Housekeeping Associate to maintain clean, safe facilities across multiple locations, including retail stores, the Opportunity Campus, and the Cockrill Bend warehouse. You will help ensure spaces meet cleanliness standards and contribute to a positive environments for customers, donors, and staff.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently with a cleaning schedule.
• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to work in retail, office and warehouse environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks: sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, wiping surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, breakrooms, training areas, and high-touch surfaces.
• Maintain cleanliness of entrances, sidewalks, back rooms, hallways, stairwells, and public areas.
• Empty trash/recycling; replace liners; transport waste to disposal locations.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies; notify supervisor when items run low.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies and guidelines.
• Assist with cleaning store fixtures, shelving, windows, mirrors, and flooring.
• Support store leadership in maintaining a safe, welcoming shopping environment.
• Clean classrooms, training spaces, offices, restrooms, hallways, shared areas.
• Ensure training rooms are clean and properly set up.
• Maintain cleanliness of public and staff areas to support program delivery.
• Clean warehouse floors, aisles, and work areas; assist in breakrooms and lockers.
• Support sanitation needs around production lines, baling areas, and docks.
• Follow safety practices in high-traffic industrial environments.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns immediately.
• Safely use and store cleaning equipment when trained.
• Perform other duties to support cleanliness and safety.
